AVI’s Logistics Support Services division seeks to attract an experienced individual to take on the role of a Compliance Officer based in Redhill. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring all processes and procedural compliances are adhered to as well as all administrative deadlines are achieved.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to: Compliance Manager
Key Areas of Impact:
  • Perform Operational SOP/ Procedural Audits, distribute audit reports and close out audit findings.
  • Perform 3PL / Transporter Audits, distribute audit reports and close out audit findings.
  • Perform Quality and Food Safety audits monthly on APP, distribute audit reports and close out audit findings.
  • Co-ordinate and participate in any 3rd party audits (Q, FS, Environmental, H&S, Risk).
  • GRC report and mitigated controls review and GRC cleanup.
  • System Access control for LSS – raise workflows.
  • Tracking workflows - ensure access is granted, monitoring outstanding workflows and deleting users.
  • Creating new SOP's / procedures / forms or updating current documents as required.
  • Tracking training and uploading records for SOP’s / procedures / policies.
  • Responsible for safe storage of all compliance documentation.
  • Handling internal and external queries.
  • Monthly verification of Transport Lane rates charged vs rate cards.
  • Daily paycard verification of payment requests vs Transport manpower tracker.
  • Verifying system health checks.
  • Assisting the Compliance Manager with any ad hoc functions that is required in the department.

What It Takes to Succeed:

Experience that set you up for success:   

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Compliance Officer or similar
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel skills required
  • SAP knowledge
  • Quality and Food Safety knowledge
  • Valid Code 08 driver's license

Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Food Safety and Internal Auditor certification
