We are seeking a Systems Engineer (Level 2) to join our IT Shared Services team based in Bryanston, Johannesburg. In this role, you will play a critical part in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our datacentre and branch line-of-business systems, including SAP at the OS level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and optimize server hardware, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and monitoring software.
• System Monitoring: Use monitoring tools to proactively address alerts and resolve complex issues.
• SAP Administration: Manage and maintain business-critical systems, including SAP ERP, BIW, BOBJ, and others.
• Change Management: Implement upgrades and changes according to established procedures.
• Team Development: Mentor first-line support team members, enhancing their understanding of the systems landscape and its impact on performance.
• Cross-Skilling: Share expertise with Infrastructure teams to build collective knowledge and capability.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience:
• 2 years in Microsoft systems administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Exchange)
• 2 years in enterprise storage (TinTri, Dell, HP)
• 2 years in enterprise server administration (Dell, HP)
• 2 years in virtualization (VMWare)
• 2 years in SCCM, SCOM, SCSM, and EMS administration
• 2 years with backup-to-disk systems
• Qualifications:
• Matric
• Tertiary Degree or Diploma in IT and/or Engineering
• Certifications:
• Essential: MTA, MCSA, MCSE, MS System Center (SCCM, SCOM, SCSM)
• Important: VCP 6.7-DCV, DCA, DCP, VMCE
• Nice-to-have: RHCSA, MS EMS, TinTri-U

Additional Requirements:

• Expertise in managing complex system implementations and outages.
• Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, IP Telephony, and Wi-Fi technologies.
• Familiarity with protocols such as HTTP, DNS, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Ability to identify and manage performance and capacity solutions.
